According to HP specs for 16-d1000 series below, your model supports max 32 GB (2x16 GB) DDR5-4800 MHz memory.

You can click the link below and run the wmic command to see the max RAM capacity your system can take.
2 Steps to Check Maximum RAM Capacity of Your Computer
If it reports 32 GB, 2x16 GB DDR5-4800 is supported. If 64 GB, 2x32 GB is supported.
