Hi,
When I turn my laptop on I get a smart hard disk error and basically I need to replace the hard drive.
my question is, what type of hard drive do I need and where can I buy one from? Thank you

Your PC came with a 1TB SATA laptop drive -- and any of the same size will do to replace it.
HP does not sell drives, so you would have to look online for one.
Online stores that sell drives include BestBuy, Walmart, and MicroCenter. I would recommend the last one as it has good return policies.
