I wanted to log on to my notebook one day. So when I tried to log in, it kept saying wrong password. So when I revealed my password, I noticed none of my numbers have typed. I then realized none of the numbers at the top worked but 5 and 6. So I tried to use the keypad on the right side and the numbers 1 and 4 won't work. I saw some solutions on another Post but when I tried, the notebook wanted my password to continue. So I was wondering is there anything I could do to fix this problem?

Since few of the keys are not working I suggest you perform a Keyboard Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard
Keep me posted 😊

I did the test and it said Keyboard test Failed, Component test failed and it list all the keys that I knew wasn't working and keys I didn't know. It also gave me a failure ID code to give to HP Support. I took a picture of it.

Since the Keyboard Test failed, this is a Hardware issue with the Keyboard. Please contact HP Support for Service Options
