I'm trying to find out which laptop I will choose and came down to the ProBook 450 G9 (5Y3T8EA),
but I still have some questions.
Does this laptop supports USB-C Power charging?
Is the max. DDR4 SO-DIMM module 2x 16GB, or is 2x 32GB possible too?
Is there a laptop model with the same specs, but with an i7 CPU?
Will it be possible to replace the 512GB SSD for a 1TB SSD if needed?
Next was the docking station. The one I found was the USB-C Dock 5, but there are more models.
The 26D32AA and 5TW10AA model seems to be the same, except for the 1 year 'standard support', and the 3 year 'Advanced Exchange support'. Whatever that may mean.
The 'USB-C G5 Essential Dock' model looks like the same too, but seems to lack 1Gbps Ethernet, and has a max. of 65W power delivery. Most important: I cannot decisively discover if the laptop of my choice is compatible with a docking station. Is it and if so, which one? I want to charge the laptop, but also to have as many connections as possible.
I have no doubt there will be someone who knows the HP hardware and can answer my questions and maybe give some advise.
Please?

Hi,
1: Yes,
1 USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4); 3 USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (1 charging, 1 power); 1 AC power; 1 HDMI 2.1b; 1 stereo headphone/microphone combo jack; 1 RJ-45
2: Yes,
2x16GB is definitely possible because it's an option on the HP website and 2x32GB is highly likely supported too.
3: Yes,
Both HP Probook 450 G9 and G10 have a core i7 option.
Unfortunately I can't comment on the docking stations. I would assume that all HP docking stations should be compatible with most HP laptops:

4: Yes,
Again this is an option on the HP website.

Hi Pepe999,
thanks for your prompt and clear answer.
This was very helpfull. I think there could be improvements made on published specs on several (if not all) tech-sites, specifically if they want to comparish several items.
The problem is - I think - mainly the fast world, in which hardware is replaced at a high rate, so nobody gets the time to check all changing data.
Luckily there are people like you, who has a broad knowledge of the matter.
Thanks again for your help.
