Hi...
My Laptop HP Spectre XT 13-2201tu Ultrabook this afternoon says low battery and go into sleep mode. When I plug in the adapter the charging lamp ON red (charging) but then turn into white (fully charge) in less than 5 seconds.
I turn my laptop ON, but it says on the battery icon taskbar 13% available (pluggedin, not charging).
I shut down laptop then plug out adapter then re-plug in it is still the same.
I have look into the forum to find solution, and tried to press the power button for 15 seconds, but no joy. Still the same.
Would you help me please ?
Many thanks
Toni

Thanks for the reply, once you have the battery replaced, I am sure it will resolve the issue you were facing.
If you are unable to update the drivers using HPSA, try to update the drivers from www.hp.com/drivers
If the issue persists, please do post your technical issues on HP Forums for assistance.
Keep me posted. Good Luck.

Greetings @ToniQuality,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are facing an issue with the battery not charging on your computer, is that right?
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?
May I know the exact product number of your computer? Click here. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.
Have you run a diagnostics on your computer?
Have you tried to update all the drivers using HP Support Assistant?
Recommend you run HP Support Assistant on your computer to update all the drivers on your computer.
Refer to this HP Article for assistance in using HPSA to update the drivers.
Once all the drivers are updated, especially BIOS and chipset, shut down your computer.
Wait for a minute.
Turn the computer On and keep tapping F2 repeatedly on startup to enter system diagnostics.
Select the component test and run test on the battery and adapter. Click here.
If any of the tests fail, please contact our phone support team to get the part replaced.
If both the tests pass, restart your computer.
Open device manager by doing a right-click on the Windows button.
Uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
Please delete the driver when prompted and restart your computer couple times.
This would automatically reinstall a new driver and resolve the issue you are facing.
Keep me posted.

Hi Chimney_83,
Many thanks for assisting :).
Here is my product number D4B46PA#AR6. Running Windows 8.1 latest windows updated.
Yess I have tried to press power button for 15 seconds but not solved.
I have run HP Support Assistant It says 3 items need to be updated: HP Wireless button driver, Realtek LAN Driver, Synaptic Touchpad driver. Only those 3. But when I start download the update it didn't run. Download always fail. But I think those 3 are not related to the battery.
I have run diagnostic pressing F2 on booting. It says battery test fail with failure ID: Q0BX2X-64M8RDXD7X1A-C0B203
Does it means the battery need to be replaced ?
I have Uninstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, but no prompt to delete the driver. And I have restarted my laptop. Then the battery lamp indicator become blinking red and white. And it says 0% not charging.
Cheers.

Hi Chimney, Jeet_singh,
I try to contact local HP Support but got answer the battery spare part can't be supported due to the age of the laptop is more than 4 years (yess I bought it in 2013).
I'm still searching in the local market, though it is difficult to find spare part for high end product.
Is there any way to get spare part directly from HP regional (e.g. from HP headquarter or HP APAC) ?
Cheers
