@Abujar,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!

I understand that you have an HP Spectre X360 13-ac002na PC. I read that the laptop does not change to tablet mode. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Did any changes or software updates happen after which this issue may have started?

The computer's display does not automatically rotate when shifted.

Please refer to the following steps to enable the rotation feature on the computer:

  1. Fold the computer into tablet mode.

  2. Swipe in from the right side to open the Action Center.

  3. Tap Rotation lock to enable this feature.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try these steps here:

  • Win + R -> type 'regedit' and enter

  • Registry editor will open up.

  • Go to path -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AutoRotation

  • Check the value of Enable file if it is 0 rotation will be OFF, if 1 rotation will be ON.

  • Restart and it should work.

Alternatively, you can go through this support website for more details: Click here

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
