My notebook was running low on charge, so I plugged the charger in. About 2 minutes later, however, the notebook shut itself down. I figured that it may just need some more charge, so I left it plugged in for half an hour. I then turned the notebook back on. However, when I unplugged the charger, it shut itself off immediately. Now it won’t turn back on whether the charger is connected or not. It just turns on for a second (hp logo flashes and fans come on), then it goes straight back off. This seems very much like a hardware issue, which is extremely disappointing as I have already previously sent the notebook off for repair under warranty with similar issues. This repair was at the start of 2020 I think, but I have barely used the laptop since. The coronavirus pandemic meant that I returned home from university, meaning that I have mainly been using my desktop at home for the past 6/7 months, so there has been minimal usage of my notebook since the repair (I would just charge it occasionally to ensure that the battery didn’t die). It is only in the past few weeks that I have been using it again upon my return to university. Therefore, there is no reason for the notebook to be broken already other than a potentially faulty repair.
