Spectre x360-13 SD card reader not retaining card

My notebook SD card reader stopped holding the card in although if I kept it pressed in it would function, not acceptable.  I  looked for solutions not involving tearing into the guts of the machine to no avail, even considered using a rubber band to keep it in.  Resorting to what might be considered hillbilly engineering I formed a crude.032" aluminum bracket that accomplishes the task.  I could produce a more sophisticated product but it works, just enough edges to flex the vertical tab downward allowing insertion and and release of the card.  I could form one more tab 90 degrees off the vertical to augment that depression but for now it's functional.

I don't believe those images. That explains why you can't insert a SD card.

Not sure what you don't believe but it IS a solution and functions well.  In fact I couldn't leave well enough alone and did form a little horizontal push tab to facilitate insertion and removal!
