Spectre x360 body warped

My Spectre x360 suddenly refuses to sit flat on my desk after maybe 2 years of use - it is as if has become bloated in the middle, preventing all the 'tabs' on the edges to contact the surface at the same time.  Any idea what might be causing this?  Seems like a bad structural flaw in the computer - is this a common problem?
