HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl112dx

Recently my laptop stopped charging and only works with the AC power adapter plugged in. I  was able to restart the computer and get to the UTIF where I ran a diagnostic test on the battery. The test failed. I got the following message. I have replaced batteries before, my wife's Spectre had a swollen battery. But what about the blown fuse? Is that something I can replace?

A blown fuse is an open zero ohm resistor and is not something you can open the battery and replace.

The bad cell is a definite red flag. That is end of service life level bad.

Thanks, I was able to order a replacement battery and swap it out with the old one. I reassembled the laptop and powered it up and it worked fine! I ran a power diagnostic test and it passed. The test recommended calibrating the new battery which I did, it took about 4 hours. So everything is fine now!

Might I ask why you marked your own reply as the solution?

It helps others when they can come and find information when they may be searching online for a solution to the very same issue you had.

Well sorry, I was only stating that I solved my own problem. It seems like if I hadn't said anything then others would be making suggestions for something that is solved.
