Suitable optical drive for HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC

Good day. A long time ago, an optical drive broke on my HP Envy m6 Notebook. I want to combine the repair and upgrade and install instead of it immediately the drive that supports Blu ray. Tell me which one is suitable? or at least what thickness the 12.7 or 9.5 mm drive itself is needed.

You can find your PC's product number by clicking on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.

Type: System Information

The System information app should show up.

Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.

The product number you posted indicates that you have a HP Envy m6-1103eo notebook PC.

HP did not offer Blu ray drives in the m6-11xx model series, so there is no Blu ray drive part number to refer to.

The only information available is the DVD-RW drive part number which is listed in chapter 3, page 32 of the service manual.

The optical drive bay dimensions are listed in chapter 1, page 5.

12.7-mm tray load, 9.5-mm thickness

So, perhaps with the dimensions you will be able to find one that you need.

Ok, then I know. Too bad the model does not support Blueray. May settle for DVD.
