Hi,
I recently purchased a laptop built in Japan for the Japanese market. At the current moment the keyboard has a part # L09594-291 and i am planning it to change to UK variant which will be having a part # L09594-031. Will it fit perfectly?
Secondly, I was wondering if it is possible to swap it with a Back-lit model keyboard(UK variant). I mean is the socket for back lighting available and will the BIOS recognize it and display its options accordingly?
The laptop was shipped with a non back-lit keyboard.

Look at pages 20 and 48 of the Manual here:
Yes the motherboard has an attachment for the ribbon cable used to power the backlight and on this model it will be a simple (fairly) matter of removing the old keyboard and replacing it with the backlit UK English version.
