HP Spectre x360 15-bl000no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i have a Spectre x360 15-bl000no and the battery has begun to get swollen, in a degree that the touchpad is unusable because it pushes it upwards. It is about 1,5 years old, so i think it is way too early for the battery to have that kind of problems. I can see that it seems to be a known problem for spectre models in generel when searching this forum.

Does anyone know why this happens, it does not seem to get warm when i use it?

Carl

These batteries are all sourced from China, quality varies greatly. From my experience in getting replacements, swollen batteries usually happen with cheap(est) ones from eBay/Amazon

I appear to have the exact same problem albeit on a different model of Spectre, the 13t-v100 CTO.  A couple months ago the closed seam on the left side of the laptop began to split, and I can see a bulge at the bottom left surface such that it no longer lays flat.  I ran the HP battery recall utility and this model didn't come up but I don't know what else could cause this swelling condition.  Can anything be done about this?
