The answer is maybe, though our Community cannot make the claim or ask the question for you.

Product introduced September 2018

If the warranty has been extended, you can find that using Check Warranty:

HP Customer Support - Product Warranty Check

Regardless of all else, Yes, the battery must be removed from the computer to prevent any further damage.

Unfortunately - Lubov Dedkova from HP Inc Customer Relations Team, said i can't get new battery instead swollen battery for free. Yeah, dear HP laptop users, be ready, if you bought new laptop - it can be break after one year carefully using. Prepare your money to repair your laptop. HP - will not help you. In my case factory defective battery (im sure - it's defective from factory) because it's not normal situation when on new laptop, battery can be swollen so fast. A swollen, potentially flammable battery is a serious safety issue. But HP dont care about safety their members. It was my first and last time when i bought anything from this company.
