HP Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I believe the battery on my HP Spectre x360 is swollen.  The long edge of my laptop case has now gapped open and the left side of my trackpad and the bottom row of my keyboard are now bulging outwards.  I want to know what my options are for getting the battery replaced and where I can find replacement batteries.  This doesn't seem like a new issue (I've found a few posts in the community about this issue) and just want to get the issue fixed as soon as possible.  Thanks.

I found it in the HP parts store but it is out of stock. You may need to buy it from a local online store (such as Amazon or eBay, etc.). You can use this part number ‘789116-005’ to search because the part number is universal.

What is the battery part number you need? Or what is your computer model?

I haven't opened up the laptop case to look at the battery, but my laptop model is HP Spectre x360 - 13-4103dx.

Hi @lugzgirl,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!

I am new to this forum but would advise you to stop using laptop until you get battery changed. You risk it catching fire.
