HP Spectre X360 Convertible 15-Ch0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the same issue as others with swollen battery, expanding/warping the case and impacting the keyboard and touchbad. I need to order a new one but can't seem to find it on HP's site.  I saw replies with chat or phone option but since mine is out of warranty, there are no phone numbers or chat options listed after I entered with my laptop serial info.  I also filed the request online and HP email came back "case closed" without any resolutions....

Pages 29-31 of the Manual show how to replace the battery:

Service Manual

6-cell, 84-WHr, 3.7-Ahr, Li-ion battery 928372-855

This is a compatible 3rd party battery I would not hesitate to use in my own laptop:

https://www.amazon.com/ANTIEE-YB06XL-Convertible-15-CH000NA-928427-271/dp/B08JLPB5PZ/ref=sr_1_2_sspa...

But if you want original HP product:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/393540842126?hash=item5ba0dcb28e:g:Wt0AAOSwFophLIZv

HP will not have this battery in its Store so you have to go to online shops to get it.

Thank you so much for your quick and valuable suggestions!  I actually have an earlier model: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0XX.  Would that make a difference on the battery model and the service manual?

Post back if you need more help. I did not look up a genuine battery although I am sure one can be found.

I am having the same problem.....computer began running hot so I suspect a battery issue is at the heart of the problem. What can be done to fix this? I believe my laptop is still under warranty....can I get a replacement? Looking forward to your reply.

Not up to me. Pretty sure HP will not replace it just on the suspicion it might be the battery. At a minimum you should run a diagnostic test on the battery.
