Hi, the moment I connect AC Adapter to my HP laptop, it shows connected and charging for 4-5 seconds and then it never charges again. Therefore, my laptop is running on battery. Here is the interesting part, I leave AC Adapter connected to my laptop when it is switched-off and then battery charges to full giving an opportunity to run my laptop on battery again. Sometimes an error message appear at the time of booting of my laptop. It says "The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly." with System Fan (90B).
I did some research over Google and able to clean fan and other possible areas but above error and charging remains intact.
Looking for help / suggestion here, please.

Hi @KrazyToad,
Thanks for providing the solution to issue I reported. However, it doesn't worked for me. Also, I have observed that there is one more issue with Laptop which is System Fan (90B) issue which says "The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly." So here is the summary of both the problems: 1) Just after clicking Power button, my laptop shows Fan error (see above). Once I hit Enter button, it takes me well to the normal PC mode where I can work without any issue. 2) However, the system runs entirely on battery without determining AC Power. When I shutdown my laptop, the battery which got consumed will charged to 100%.
I performed the fan cleaning steps and battery reset procedure but no improvement 🙁
Then, I ran the System Diagnostics and the Component Test gave a Warning message: The Smart Adapter feature failed to return valid data.
Please help me to troubleshoot both these problems or suggest a solution.
Thanks in Advanced
