I am experiencing persistent system issues following a recent BIOS update on my HP Omen 16 (k0xxx).

After the BIOS update, the laptop became unstable during startup. The system often fails to boot and requires several forced restarts before it successfully loads into Windows.

I attempted standard recovery procedures, including clearing the CMOS and using the Windows + V BIOS recovery method, but neither resolved the issue.

When the system does manage to boot, additional problems appear:

  • The internal speakers are not detected by the system.

  • Wireless adapters are detected, but they report driver errors and do not function correctly.

To rule out software-related causes, I have:

  • Fully updated Windows.

  • Downloaded and reinstalled all official drivers from HP.

  • Performed a complete Windows reinstallation.

Despite these steps, the issues persist. The problems appear to have started immediately after the BIOS update, suggesting a firmware-related fault.

I would appreciate guidance on further troubleshooting or instructions on how to recover or reflash the BIOS safely.
