Product: HP x360 Spectre
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an alert to update my TPM security and navigate to https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05792935. However my TPM is 2.0 version 5.40.1971.2 and the upgrade on that page (despite claiming to at the top) doest cover that combination.

 

Searching the web indicated a possible fix but that wont apply as my firmware is already in advance of that fix (SP84318). So I am bit stuck. Any ideas?

Did you run the Sp on the bulletin? What results did you get?

Which model Spectre do you have?

Hi Cheryl,

 

HP Spectre x360 - 13-ac002na

 

Error is:

 

Cannot find a valid TPM BIN file to do firmware switching. It can be that the firmware is already at the version you want to switch to

 

There are a bunch of files like TPM20_5.51.2098.0_to_TPM20_5.62.3126.0.BIN

 

There is no file containging TPM20_5.40.1791 which I assume is the problem.
