Hola,
Gracias.

Translation
The computer has a typing problem.
The problem does not occur when using the on-screen keyboard.
There is no restore point available, I re-installed the keyboard devices, everything is the same.
I added a new language and keyboard, everything is the same.
I am considering reformatting the device.
Any last minute suggestions?
Good day,
This is the HP Global English language Support Forum community.
You will need to write all thread posts in English.
That makes it simple for all forum members understand understand your issues and the responses others make in replies to your posts.
I read and write in Spanish, but it is not fair for everyone else to reply in Spanish.
Formatting the storage device should resolve the issue, but have you considered that the problem may have been caused by a Windows update?
You can remove updates that have been applied.
I always have Windows System Restore active and you should consider doing that as well.
Restore Points let me roll back to a previous restore point if an unexpected operating system happens.
Have you used the HP PC Hardware UEFI Diagnostics UEFI utility to test the keyboard?
Power on the laptop and immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the HP PC Hardware UEFI Diagnostics UEFI utility.
When the HP PC Hardware UEFI Diagnostics UEFI utility starts, choose component tests and then keyboard. Run the test.
I am a volunteer forum member. If my suggestion helped you solve your issue, help others by marking that post as the accepted solution. Say thanks by clicking on the Yes button next to the "was this reply helpful?"

Greetings,
Thank you for the response.
In the future, I will make sure that the machine is performing automatic restore points, thank you.
For now, I will try to perform the keyboard test you suggest and let you know the results.
Obviously, we will consider reformatting the device as a last resort.
Thank you and regards,
Jean-Pierre
PS I did post the question in English as well, thank you.
