What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Your notebook has support for one M.2 NVMe SSD only.
If you need more storage, you will have to remove the existing 512 GB SSD and install one having a greater storage capacity.
Below is the link to the service manual:
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Chapter 5, page 33 has the location of the single M.2 NVMe SSD.

HP only offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in the model series, but that is normally just what they offered, not the maximum capacity supported.
The Crucial SSD report for the 15-fa0xxx model series indicates you can install NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB.
