Sorry for my English...
Thanks to BIOS update... HP destroys computers and ... forces you to buy new ones??
My HP Elitebook 8470p has crashed after a BIOS upgrade. This is the third HP damaged in the same way !!
1.
HP 6450b - after upgrading the BIOS to the latest version, it stopped detecting the hard disk with which it worked for three years. The disk is working, it still works in another laptop. BIOS version operational (version ok): F20 (2012y), laptop damaged after upgrading to version F60A (2015y). No hard drive detection after upgrade: once every 5,6,7 times of computer startup.
2.
HP 8770p - after upgrading the BIOS to the latest version of F71 (May 2019), the computer shuts off automatically for no reason. Resetting and turning off. Before the upgrade, five years of trouble-free work.
3.
HP 8470p - after the BIOS update from F66 to F74 (May 2019), the computer automatically turns on after connecting the power supply. It turns on and after 2 seconds it turns off and then once again turns on and then the system starts. There is no option to disable in the BIOS. The "POWER ON UNIT WHEN AC IS DETECTED" function does not work!
Failure of the third laptop immediately after the upgrade is not a coincidence!!!!!
Where can I report it?
