I want help ...
In the new HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch060nz I would like to replace the current 512 Gb (PM981) ssd with 1Tb (Samsung PM981-1Tb). After the replacement, I installed Windows 10 with Microsoft Installer. The installation resumed until restart. It does not load after restart, hangs on the "HP" logo.
I tested the ssd but the test programs did not show any errors.
I return the original ssd and it works.
Should BIOS be configured for something?

Hi @siraly69
Welcome to HP Forums!
It’ll be an honor to guide you through the steps needed to identify your concern and address your query.
Did you check the BIOS configuration?
Install your new SSD hard drive.
- Turn off the computer, press the power button, and then repeatedly press the Esc key until the Startup Menu opens. Press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
- Use your right arrow key and navigate to System Configuration.
Check the boot options and make sure your SSD is the first in the list.
Once this is done, try to install Windows on your computer using the bootable flash drive and check if you can install them.
Check and if you have any issues, reload default BIOS Setup settings.
-
In the BIOS Setup utility, select the Exit tab.
-
Select Load Setup Defaults.
-
Select Save Changes and Exit (pressing F9 and the Enter key also loads Setup Defaults).
-
Press Esc and Enter to exit Setup.
If this does not work, use an HP Recovery Media to Install. You can contact our Phone Support Team to get a copy. They will help you.
