The specs of your machine is

              https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06054986

It only has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s) port, which is NOT a Thunderbolt port. It is a hopeless port actually therefore it is NOT compatible with a Thunderbolt Dock G2 dock.

Regards.

To check the compatibility between the Thunderbolt Dock 230W G2 (HSN-IX01) and the HP Notebook 14-cf0018ca, think of it like setting up the perfect gaming rig

. Just as in gaming where every component needs to seamlessly work together, you want to make sure your Thunderbolt Dock and HP Notebook are a perfect match. As the saying goes, "In the gaming world, compatibility is key – it's like having the right team composition for victory." So, visit HP's official site, ensure your notebook has the Thunderbolt prowess, and confirm all the specs align for a gaming-worthy setup. And remember, just like leveling up in a game, reaching out to support for any doubts is a smart move – you wouldn't venture into a new quest without checking your gear, right?
