I can not connect any Thunderbolt devices to my laptop after a Bios upgrade.
I have run a test of the Thunderbolt with the internal diagnostics software from boot. No error on Thunderbolt.

My BIOS: Q70 Ver. 01.29.01
Trying to run Thunderbolt Firmware upgrade. Get a error in the log files that it cannot find the Thunderbolt Controller.

USB-C ports are working fine as a USB port.

The Thundebolt Controller is listed under devicesmanager as working.
Is it a driver problem?

This problem is solved.

Somehow the Thunderbolt driver was replaced or removed.

This may have been Windows Update or HP Support Assistant.
