Hi all,
I'm having some problems with the TouchStyk and TouchPad of my ZBook 14 G2. The TouchStyk is always detected and working, however, the TouchPad does not work from time to time.
When not working, the TouchPad is not detected by Windows (it does not responds to touch events and the orange light to activate/deactivate does not work either). In the BIOS, only the TouchStyk works. I don't see any option to activate/deactivate the TouchStyk/TouchPad.
Sometimes, when I play with the "Built-in devices" configuration in the BIOS (e.g., activating/deactivating the finger print device) and the reboot, the TouchPad is again detected.
I really don't know what's happening, any help is more than welcome
Thanks in advance,
Javier

Same problem here. Tried a clean install of latest windows 10 pro. But the touchpad does not work ever since I began the installing process. It was purchased on jul/10/2015. I only used it for a couple of hours. The touchpad just stopped working from unknown time. Any help here? Really did not expect that such a premium product from such a big company has such major flaw. Shame on HP.

Hi, folks. It seems that it needs to flash the new firmware which is V1.2 by the way, and can be found under firmware section of driver download page. Its name is 'synaptics mouse firmware update utility'. The size of it is 0.34Mb, you can't go wrong. Just follow the insctruction and click yes to flash the new touchpad firmware. It takes about 2 minutes. After the reflash, it will be shown in the black window that the system will reboot. Hit any button. And after that the system will go to sudo-rebooting mode with a message saying ' preparing to configure windows, do not turn off system'. In my case it took a good 10+mins. Do not hit the power button! Be patient! I was playing psvita and waiting for it at the same time. At some point the screen goes black and reboot. After that the touchpad starts to work as it should. It has no problem after I reboot several times now. By the way, I am running Windows 10 pro 1511. Hope this can help. Thank you.

Hi guys,
I tried humei8 indications and it fixed my problem.
In my case, I run Windows 7 (the one coming with the laptop). I didn't have to wait so much, only installing the thing, rebooting and then it worked!
Thanks a lot humei8!

Hi again,
bad news here.
I've updated the firmware and the touchpad started to work. However, today, some days after, I'm having problems again and the touch pag is not working anymore.
I've tried to reinstall the firmware update and now the utility says that there is no Synaptics hardware in the system.
What could I do?
Any help is welcome
Thanks!

Hi again,
I could fix the problem by deactivating the fingerprint reader in the BIOS. Once done that, Windows re-detect the touch pad. Of course the trade off is that you cannot use the fingerprint reader.
I guess there is some IRQ conflict thing here... Let's see how much time it lasts...
