Hi.
I saw a post about touchpad lag on elite dragonfly by tweleforty and since HP locked the post for further comments i start a new one to share my solution.
Go to Device manager-> view -> device by connection -> PCI Express root port -> thunderbolt controller 15EB -> right click thunderbolt controller 15EB -> Properties -> Power management -> disable allow the computer to turn off this device to save power ( By default has a check mark, remove it and click apply or OK)
i have spent several weeks on this issue and finally it is gone in our enviroment.

Hello,
I have a brand new Dragonfly and have a problem with the touchpad. Often after resuming from standby there is a lag of about 3 seconds using the touchpad. For example, I move my finger on the touchpad and only after 3 seconds the cursor starts responding. To solve the problem I have either to reboot. Sometimes also going to standby and resume fixes it.
I noticed that when this problem manifests itself, an errors appears on the event viewer:
Source: MTConfig
Error: An attempt to configure the input mode of a multitouch device failed.
All the drivers are updated to the latest version, and so is Windows 10, currently on version 20H2, but the previous version 2004 had the same issue.
Any suggestions? The laptop is brand new and this is very annoying issue indeed.
Thanks.

Hiya,
I have the same problem that you mention here. Additionally to this, HP has recently eliminated the German speaking community helpdesk which leads me to the English speaking community. This proves to be rather difficult when trying to apply your solution to my German device manager. I can actually change the setting of the device manager to English but not all of the subcategories change into English.
My problem now is: I cannot (for the life of me!) find the settings you mention. I can get as far as to find the PCI Express root port (In my screenshot: "PCI Express Root Complex" - is this correct?) bit - and then it's all a blur. Maybe you can help me out, maybe not. But it's worth a try!
Thanks,
n

We find this setting here:
-device management
-display
-devices by type
-system devices
-find "Thunderbolt(TM) Controller - 15EB"
-in the power saving tab uncheck the box "allow the computer to shut down the device..."
