So I am trying to expand the storage in my laptop by adding another 1T ssd, but I do not have the actual ssd slot or ribbon cable that comes with the expanded storage version. So, I bought the L52026-001 and L52025-001 parts to enable me to add another m.2 ssd. They fit perfectly in the laptop, however, after I installed the nvme m.2 ssd, it did not show up. I tried looking through the BIOS, disk manager, a power reset, and checking connections. Nothing worked. Is the port for the second slot only for SATA m.2 ssds. Otherwise, any suggestions?

Hi Treeko, I was able to figure out the problem. I had a built to order HP 15-dw1xxx with a GeForce mx130, 256 m.2 nvme, 8gb of RAM, and a 1080p VA display. I was able to add another 1T SATA m.2 ssd by finding the part numbers for the hardware required to add another m.2 slot (by where a hard drive would go if the laptop had originally came with one). It didn’t say if it was nvme or SATA so I tried nvme and it didn’t work, but then I found that a SATA m.2 ssd worked, so that’s all I was confused about. Thank you for responding!
