OMEN by HP Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my battery. It does not want to charge normally.

In most cases my battery doesn't charge after 70-80%, it shows "Plugged in, not charging"

But, despite this there are cases when it even so charging up to 99%. This happens randomly, there are no any regularity.

When I run battery test, either I see an error ID (PLU3HS-8KN92R-MFPX6K-C0F503), or I see - OK, passed. This also does not depend on anything.

Please help me to solve this situation.

My laptop is not even a year.

Regards to all.

Thank you but this is not my case.

That failure code translates as a bad battery. If the laptop is less than a year old it is under warranty and HP will replace the battery. You need to make a warranty claim.

Thank you.

But now, when I run battery check again, it shows no failure.

I didn't change anything from previous check. Also my battery charged up to 92%, for the first time in the last few days.

Could it be a software problem?

If not, how can I claim battery replacement?

You have to make a warranty claim and if the battery is internal they will have you send the whole laptop in for replacement. Where are you located (country)? The simple pass/fail on the battery test can be deceiving. Can you run the full test and post the advanced results? Still not real good if a less than 1 year old battery will not charge past 92%.

I'm in Russian Federation now (Moscow)

I don't understand what's going on with my battery :smileyindifferent:

The battery has 366 cycles and is pretty run down from its original capacity. I am not sure you can get HP to replace it but if it were mine I would try.
