Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried numerous times to upgrade from Win10 to Win 11.  While the download is successful, the install fails with error message: 0x80070002.  Other upgrades have worked fine - it is the upgrade from 10 to 11 that does not.

See if this video is of help to you:

How to Fix Windows 10/11 Update Error 0x80070002 [Tutorial] - YouTube

If not, try doing an in-place update from W10>W11 by clicking on the W11 Installation Assistant button at the link below (1st option).

Download Windows 11

Hello Paul,

Thank you so much for your reply.  I did follow the YouTube Tutorial you referenced, but unfortunately both recommendations on that tutorial did not help - error 0x80070002 issue is still there.  I will try your suggestion of in-place update from W10>W11 next.  Will let you know how it goes.  Thanks again.

You're very welcome.

Hello again Paul,

I finally got around to downloading and installing the Win11 upgrade from my Win10 laptop (HP Laptop 14-dq2xx) per the link you sent me.   Everything was going along "swimmingly" until the very end at which point a popup came up informing me that the installation failed with the same darn error code that I have gotten consistently in the past - 0x80070002.  Any additional help to resolve my issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:

Sorry that trying to update to W11 with the Installation Assistant didn't work either.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
