HP Pavilion - 14-ce3000nj
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone,

I have an HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce3xxx, my peripheral connections are:

1 x USB Type-C Port / 1 x HDMI Port / RJ-45 Jack (Network) / 2 x SuperSpeed USB Ports

The USB-C port does not support HDMI ports on my USB-C dock (USB Type-C ports on the computer to connect a

USB device, such as a mobile phone, camera, activity tracker, or smartwatch, and transfer the files to your computer)

I would like to know if it is possible to connect the docking station to a SuperSpeed USB port preferably or HDMI with a suitable cable and that I can connect my 2 screens to the docking station.

Thank you in advance for your answers and wish you a good day.

The specs of your machine is

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06549810

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

You can use your dock to connect to other devices such as mouse, keyboard, ....

Regards.

First of all, thank you for the reply.
The only solution I've found is to sell my docking station and buy another one that will fit the perimeter of my laptop.
See you soon and good luck.
