I'm trying to configure my 15t-eb000 to have 2 monitors so I'm trying to do 1 monitor on HDMI, and 1 monitor on Thunderbolt since this laptop advertised Thunderbolt support but it doesn't work.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

After reading your post, I did go through the Maintenance and Service Guide of your product and found that you have  1 USB Type-C Thunderbolt™ port with HP Sleep and Charge only. Refer to 2 Chapter 1 Product description.

Select a connection type based on your second monitor.

  • Monitor: USB-C , Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) , DisplayPort , DVI , VGA

  • TV: USB-C , Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) , DisplayPort

  • High Definition TV: USB 3.0 , Mini HDMI , DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) , HDMI , DVI , VGA

  1. Connect the TV or monitor to the computer using the cable you chose.

  2. Connect a power cable to the TV or monitor, and then turn it on.

  3. TV connections only: Change the TV video input source to match the video source connection from the computer (Line-1, Video-1, HDMI, etc.). Refer to documents that came with the TV for instructions.

Depending on the TV, the image quality might not be as good as that of a monitor.

  4. Turn on the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
