I am wondering If my laptop supports USB-C charging. It came with a barrel plug however the specifications list USB-C power delivery for one of the ports and I want to know if it is a possibility to charge via usb-c. I have searched through forums, specifications, and manuals and have not found a solid answer.

Product name: HP Pavilion Aero Laptop 13-be0075cl

Product number: 3A9L0UA

Thanks for your help!

Hey UB6424

thanks for your help, however I decided to try plugging it in because some online reviews stated it could charge via usb-c. It can in fact charge as mine is currently doing so without any fault.

Best,

No all usb ports put out power and can charge a cell phone, for example. If it has the sleep and charge type port it can charge a cell phone while the laptop is in sleep mode. Otherwise power going out of the usb port is cut off when the laptop sleeps.

Please report your results.

hey @Ub6424

This does not really answer my question. I was wondering about the USB power delivery specification not the Hp sleep and charge specification. These two are different and not indicative of each other.  For clarification I am wondering if my laptop is capable of receiving charge via USB, not if it can charge other devices.

Thanks
