Hello, I have a HP Pavilion eg0103tx. I want know the compatibility of my USB C port (If I would be able to charge my pc via the port, maximum data transfer rate, etc.). I tried finding its version, but couldn't. Can anyone help me solve this?

The specs are:

  • Intel Corei5 11th Gen
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4, ROM: 512GB SSD
  • NVIDIA GeForce MX450 Graphics, 2GB

The specs of your machine is

It has a very useful USB-C port which is  a SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port.  You can use USB-C dock such as HP USB-C Gen 5 dock to have SINGLE cable solution.

Regards.

I have tested charging and it doesn't work, I could however use usb type-c for data.

Thank you for your support, also, can I know if I would be able to upgrade my USB C port to thunderbolt 4 in the future?

No. you can't upgrade to Thunderbolt™ 4 in future, this requires hardware replacement ( requires a whole system board).
