Pavilion x360 14-dy0005nh
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently bought an HP Pavilion x360 14-dy0005nh (intel 11th gen) notebook from a local retailer and have read conflicting information about it. Some reviewers say that the notebook is capable of charging via USB C power delivery above a certain wattage, while others (including the retailer) say that it does not.

My question is simply would it be able to charge with a USB C charger or through a docking station?

The notebook did come with a DC Barrel plug-style charger. However, the official product description and specifications list include USB Power Delivery as a capability under the USB C section but do not define whether this only applies to outgoing current (to smartphones for example) or to incoming as well.

Update:

Thanks to the r/Hewlett_Packard Reddit community I was recommended to check the User Guide on the computer. It listed support for USB-C charging (see: https://imgur.com/a/33PNVaJ) and with the help of my friend I was able to test it out - it worked.

Yes, the computer is able to charge via USB-C or through a USB-C docking station. However, it does need to be a 20V compatible USB PD charger to work with at least 45W worth of output.
