Pavilion Laptop 15t-cs300
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have an HP USB-C travel dock and hooking it up to my laptop and trying to make the video work.  Attempting either VGA or HDMI and neither will work.  The USB ports work without any problem, as does the network jack on the dock.

The bios, firmware, drivers, etc are all up to date.  What am I missing or is there an incompatibility between this laptop and this dock?

For an additional reference, the laptop does have the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 option on it.

Your machine has

  • USB 3.1 Type-A ports (2, right side)
  • USB Type-C port; USB 3.1 Gen 1 (left side); supports data transfer

As you can see, the USB-C port supports data transfer, no video out. I can't find your machine on the Compatible products list:

Thanks for that.  I thought when I had bought it that it did support video on USB-C, but obviously not...
