Hi, my HP Pavilion M9F64EA#ABU laptop USB 3.0 port has stopped working. I have run the HP Diagnostic check and the following Failure ID was given. U4PT3F-7PW8NJ-MFPWMG-8D4B03
Do any of you know how to fix this or is it a case of sending the laptop away for repair. My laptop is out of warranty now.
Cheers,
Graeme.

Hi,
The USB 3.0 is connected by cable to the motherboard, so it can be replaced without the need of intervention on the motherboard itself.
The part number is 809038-001. You can find online for good price.
Example:
https://www.ebay.com/p/HP-USB-Board-With-Cable-Bro-M-M1y26ua-809038-001/1251138358
On page 60 of service manual you can see the various steps to replace the board.
Hope it helps,
David
