USB Type C to VGA adapter not working

Hi,

I bought a USB Type-C to VGA adapter since I often need to connect my laptop to projectors.

I bought a ROCK adapter, but Im not able to connect anything to it.
I trided connecting my laptop to a TV, various monitors and two types of projectors, but nothing happens.

I don't get an error notifivation or anything like that, it just won't cedognize the external monitor/projector.

I tried with all the settings I could remember of in Windows 10, but it didn't help.

My laptop model is HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ae000 CTO, and if the adapter is not supported by HP, then please let me know which models of Type C to VGA adapters are supported, that is, work 100%, so that I could buy the corresponding one.
If there is a sowtware fix, that would be even better. I just need to know if anyone else had a similar problem.

Welcome to HP forum, I see that the USB type C to VGA adapter is not working.

• Is it a thunderbolt adapter, If not it will not work.

Yes, it helped me. It doesn't work and I found that only a couple of adapters work with mylaptop model.

- HP USB-C to VGA Display Adapter P7Z54AA

- HP Spectre USB-C™ Travel Dock 2SR85AA
