Hello, this is a question regarding an SMD on the USB board. Basically I dropped my bag with my laptop inside and opened it up to check for any damages. It was honestly still fine before I opened it. But a piece came out as I opened it and it wouldn't turn on again after, it has 100 and 6v written on it and I think I know where it goes. I just wanted to ask if what I think where the problem is, is correct and want to know how it can be fixed/soldered back. I'm not experienced in soldering nor am I familiar with all the intricacies and whatever. But I have opened my laptop multiple times out of curiosity. Apologies in advance if this isn't the place to ask about this.

Hello.

I wouldn't recommend trying soldering this back unless you have a good solder gun and good soldering skills.

The USB/Audio board is replaceable. Check the Maintenance and Service Guide for Probook 440 G4, page 64. It will show how to remove and replace the part, and also lists the spare part number: 905713-001

HP does not offer this part anymore, but you can find this part from several online stores and for very cheap as well.
