Pavillon 14-bk063sb
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a computer Pavillon 14-bk063sb and I bought a device  Advent USB C to HDMI. My intention is to connect to a monitor with HDMI because the port HDMI in my laptop is broken. However, the device does not work, when I connect it in the USB C, first appears a message on "limit".  Is there a solution for this problem, or other alternatives to connect my laptop with a monitor?

Thank you

Sergio

Well your USB-C port is described this way in the Service Manual:

USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port (supports data transfer)

So it is a simple USB-C port. It does not carry a native video signal. So a simple single-purpose adapter will not work. You need a usb-C port replicator which does DisplayLink connection. There are many many of them for sale on amazon.com. This tyoe of dock or port replicator has a chip inside that translates usb to video. If you get one of those type of port replicators you will be able to have one or more external monitors connected to it.
