Product: HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-bq1xxmple: Pavilion 65XX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I believe that my inability to connect a usb gps receiver is a windows 10 problem as the device works fine on my win7 laptop. How can you determine if this laptop has an inbuilt gps device? nothing found in device manager.

No, all  HP Envy x360 15-bq1xx machines do not have built-in GPS device.
