Envy 13-ab008na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I used the HP Upgrade facility to update my Envy Notebook. I rebooted after machine driver upgrade and I am now unable to type letters, only numbers. I cannot therefore log on!

I tried another USB keyboard with no success.

Can anyone help please?

I managed to resolve the issue by using a Windows recovery USB from another computer and rolling back to a previous version....all is now well!

Not sure if this will help, but saw this answerthat someone else wrote -

"There are two sign in options; pin or password. If you are in pin mode, only the digits work on your keyboard. Simply select the password "

Thank you for your reply- Sadly, I am not in pin mode on that computer. ;(

Oh well, I tried. I am going to defer to someone more expert on the subject than me.
