I don't know what driver I need to fix this. Can anyone help?

I've also been experiencing blue screen crashes that say "thread stuck in device driver" every time I play a game. I updated the BIOS, updated the graphics card, and it's still happening.

try downloading the zip file from this thread and see if it works for you.

Will this be safe to do beings it's for a completely different computer model?

Hi, @cotylee1991 :

Yes, it is safe to use in any model that shows that device ID that needs the driver.

Okay, I was just curious because I saw in a different thread with the same issue and code that one person said it was a driver for the touch pad and the other was for a graphics card driver that didn't complete installation.

Hi:

The touchpad has a different but similar ID to the one that is the subject of your post.

That one is ACPI\SMB0001 or something like that.

Thanks Paul!

Do you think this could also be the cause of the BSOD crash with the error "thread stuck in device driver" that randomly happens?

You're very welcome.

It's hard to say, but after you install the driver, you will be able to rule that out if it happens again.
