Not enough bandwidth to provide decent video performance. It would be worse than what you have on the laptop now. Theoretically you can remove the back cover and use the wifi slot to attach an eGPU but #1 this is a very poor setup and #2 from prior answers I gather not something you would even consider trying.

The SSD is upgradeable. 256 gig is pretty small today. You might think about say a 2 TB. External drives will work but not very convenient. You can put in an SD card and move stuff like documents, music, videos to it and free up some space on the SSD.

I do not know Microcenter's prices. A 1 TB SSD is less than $100:
They actually have a DIY center and you could take it in and do the upgrade yourself or under supervision.
