I have successfully upgraded to 48GB; 32gb+16gb Kingston HyperX memory

I contacted HP and got a big run around about 16gb being the max, then I showed them they offered a 32gb version, which they then claimed was the max.  I told them I had 40gb running fine, but 64 would not boot, why?  In any case i preceded to order one 32gb module + one 16gb module (DDR4 3200) from HyperX, a brand I've been happy with before.  Been running more than a week, Intel mem speed tests are consistently better than the stock CL22 Samsung modules HP ships.

 

Also upgraded from 512GB+32 Optane SSD to Sabrent 2TB Rocket NVMe  SSD (+Copper heat spreader) which is MUCH faster

 

Now my Envy is an Envy!
