I just purchased a HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg3097nr, which came with a 512 GB, SSD drive.  I want to upgrade this drive to at least a 1 TB drive.  I would be happier with 2 TB.  Where can I find an SSD drive to upgrade my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg3097nr?

Hi:

The product specifications for the model series indicate that 2 TB NVMe SSD's are supported.

HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg3000 series specifications | HP® Customer Support

Not only that, but the model series supports PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD's and the 512 GB SSD that HP installed is only PCIe Gen 3.

Under those circumstances, you may want to install a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD such as the Samsung 980 Pro:

Amazon.com: SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 2TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 Gaming M.2 Internal Solid State Drive Memory Car...

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-eg model series on your notebook's support page, but it should be of help to you for opening up the notebook to replace the drive.

There is also a service teardown video for the older model series.
