Hi,

i'm interestend in upgrading my HDD to and SSD, to do this i have some question.
First of all all type of SSD under 2.5" fit in my laptop? Second question about SSD info, i must check something about speed or else that won't let it suit my actual MotherBoard compatibility? Third and last question is about the connector i saw in my actual HDD, it's compatible with all type of SSD or i must check something when buying it?

Thank you for your time.

Good day to evryone.

Here is the Service manual:

See pages 52-54 for steps to access the hard drive, remove and replace it.

To answer your questions in order: No, your laptop is not compatible with the little mSATA drives that look like memory modules. The only kind of SSD you can use is a 2.5 inch wide 7 or 9.5 mm thick SATA SSD. Those are the most common kind and there are a confusing array of choices out there. My own go-to SSD is a Samsung 850 Evo:

You do not need to check the speed or anything or worry about BIOS configuration if you are using Windows 7 or higher. Treat is like a hard drive. The physical package of the drive; that is, where the connectors are located and the mounting holes and the shape and size of the box itself are identical to a mechanical hard drive except it is likely to be thinner, 7 mm instead of 9.5 mm. It will still fit perfectly in the caddy or slot where the old drive was located.

If you need any help with software reinstallation or anything else, post back.
