Upgrade I5 2410M to I7 3720qm (FAIL)

I recently bought a processor for my probook 6360b notebook. It came from the factory with an i5 2410m, I wanted to upgrade to an I7, but I bought an I7 3720qm but I was surprised that it didn't show video, I checked the socket and it's the same (rPGA 988B/Socket G2) why can't I have video being the same socket?

Intel 3rd generation core processors are not supported in your notebook.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the list of supported processors:

The best processor you can upgrade to in your notebook is the  Intel Core i7-2620M.

Can I put a 2nd generation quad core?

Not according to the manual so if you want to install one, it will be a complete gamble on your part.

The motherboard only supports the 35W processors and I can't find any 2nd generation quad core processors that are 35W.

They are all 45W.

It's true that there isn't one, the one I found with 35w is 3632qm, but it won't work. I was sad about this, the version after mine (6470b) is already compatible...Thanks!

Yes, you are correct...the next model series 6470b, 8470p support the Intel 3rd gen core processors.

You will probably bump up the performance a bit by installing the i7-2620M.

Is there no way I can put the Intel HD 4000? I wanted it so I could run some games, the Intel HD 3000 crashes a lot.

Unfortunately, not.

The Intel onboard HD 4000 graphics is for the 3rd gen core processors.

The onboard intel HD 3000 graphics is for the 2nd gen core processors.
