I recently bought a processor for my probook 6360b notebook. It came from the factory with an i5 2410m, I wanted to upgrade to an I7, but I bought an I7 3720qm but I was surprised that it didn't show video, I checked the socket and it's the same (rPGA 988B/Socket G2) why can't I have video being the same socket?

Not according to the manual so if you want to install one, it will be a complete gamble on your part.
The motherboard only supports the 35W processors and I can't find any 2nd generation quad core processors that are 35W.
They are all 45W.

Yes, you are correct...the next model series 6470b, 8470p support the Intel 3rd gen core processors.
You will probably bump up the performance a bit by installing the i7-2620M.
