Hi guys! First time here.
I'm thinking of upgrading my laptop's HDD to an M.2 ssd disk, but I don't know if I have any M.2 slots in it, and if BIOS it's going to recongnize it.
Can you help me?
The model is Envy 360 m6-w103dx.
It came with a 1TB 7200 disk.
I want to buy a Samsung Pro Evo M.2 disk (250 / 500 GB).
Thank you so much!
Julian

Hi
The good news is that your Pc does have a M2 slot
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763031
page 2 : Hard Drive info it says M.2 SATA-3 (NGFF): ● 256 GB, is supported

Well it might just be that at the time this manual was made there was no 512 GB drive avilable, that being said it may work or may not but 256 GB should definatly work

Is there any Qualified Vendor List for the SSD M.2 Drives?
By the way, I need to know if the size of the disk is correct.
Do you know if I can use this disk?

Check page 32 & 32

This is what I would suggest as it has the exact same spec as required

Ok so, no one actually replied if the size was correct so, I bought it anyway.
Hope it's the right size.

SSD you bought, it's right sized but with different controller. HP Envy series only supports M.2 SATA III TCL controller type SSD. The SSD you bought, has NVMe controller which won't be recognized by your laptop.
These three should be compatible:
